In 7 days it will be 7 Years!
I am coming up on the anniversary of my early retirement from my job as a flight attendant to focus soley on my art. Do I miss it? Absolutely....the freedom of working or not working, free flights, and working with various people weekly....however, it was holding me hostage, and I retired on July 25, 2019 (you could retire after 10 years of service).
I'd fulfilled my childhood dreams of becoming a teacher and traveling the world. Prior to being an F/A I was a K-12 teacher. Most people don't like change, I embrace it. I also know what opportunities lost can lead to as well. I trust that each opportunity taken, leads to more.
I started my art journey later in life, reconnecting with a creative part of myself that had always been there. Through exploring different media and techniques, I have allowed myself the freedom to experiment, play, and discover new ways of expressing what I see and feel.
This journey has been about showing up for the part of me that has always been curious, imaginative, and eager to create. Art has become a way for me to honor that curiosity and allow my authentic expression to come forward, wherever the process leads.
Be Joy - Be Love - BE YOU!
